๐Ÿ“ What Is a Jan Aushadhi Franchise?

A Jan Aushadhi Kendra (JAK) is a government-supported generic medicine store under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). The aim is to provide quality generic medicines at significantly lower prices (often 50โ€“80% cheaper than branded equivalents) to the public.

The model functions a lot like a franchise โ€” individuals, NGOs, or institutions operate these centres while sourcing medicines from approved suppliers, following govt norms.
